Italian swimwear brand signs three-year sponsorship deal with Emily Seebohm
Italian swimwear brand Arena has signed a three-year sponsorship deal with Australian teenage swimmer Emily Seebohm.
Seebohm is a backstroke, freestyle, butterfly, and IM all-rounder, and has broken numerous swimming records over the last three years, and won eight medals at last year’s Commonwealth Games in Delhi, India.
She joins the Arena Elite Team, alongside other ambassadors such as Aaron Peirsol, Kirsty Conventry and Paul Biedermann.
“Signing Emily Seebohm is a really exciting step for Arena,” said Alessandro Carpignano, director general of Arena’s international business. “Given Australia’s standing in the swimming world, having a representative on our Elite Team has always been an important goal of ours, and having been able to sign one of its brightest rising stars in Emily makes it all the more pleasing.
“We look forward to a fruitful and mutually beneficial collaboration with her in the coming few years, not least at the London Olympic Games.”
Guy Tuthill, managing director of TNF Group, Arena’s official distributor in Australia, said: “This is a very exciting time for Arena and one of which the TNF Group are proud to share. We could not have wished for a better ambassador than Emily Seebohm, who is an inspirational athlete. We look forward to being part of the team that will support Emily in her lead up to the 2012 London Olympics.”
