Manchester City star to wear Puma Speed v1.11 boots
Manchester City and Argentina striker Sergio Agüero has signed with Puma, and will be wearing the brand’s Speed boots.
Agüero, who has been in scintillating form for Manchester City during the start of 2011/12 Premiership season, will wear Puma Speed v1.11 during the club’s inaugural UEFA Champions League match this evening (September 14) versus Napoli.
The striker has been trialling the v1.11 boot in recent weeks, a period in which he has scored seven goals in four matches for the northern club.
Puma said the v1.11 Speed boot is the lightest football boot it has ever made and that the performance characteristics of the v1.11 were a major reason for Agüero committing his future to PUMA.
Sergio Agüero said: "I am very happy to have signed this partnership with Puma. It is another important step for me in this next phase in my career and my life. I have been impressed with its plans in football for the coming years; it is a great brand with a good attitude towards both sport and life in general.
“The v1.11 is really a fantastic football boot. It’s so lightweight and gives me a lot of freedom and agility to move quickly on the pitch which is so important for a striker.
“I have tested a number of boots over the past few weeks, and I can definitely say that for me the Puma v1.11 is the best."
