Aztecs earn 102 All-Mountain West Academic Honors

SAN DIEGO- San Diego State had 102 student-athletes who earned the Academic All-Mountain West designation for the spring semester, the office of the Mountain West Conference from Colorado Springs, Colorado announced Monday afternoon.

To be eligible for Spring 2022 Academic Conference honors, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution, while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. In addition, student-athletes must have participated in 50% of the varsity competition completed by the team.

With 29 student-athletes honored, women’s athletics won the most awards among Aztecs who competed in the winter and spring semesters. Swimming and diving finished second with 23 awards and softball was third with 18 awards.
