ATHENS —— The black team won the Fall World Series with a 6-5 victory Sunday at Foley Field.

The team fought for a 4-4 tie in six innings. In the seventh, both teams started their half of the heat with runners in the first and second. Freshman Dylan Taylor lined up a shot aimed at right field which was caught by the first baseman Chaney rogers. He stepped on the bag for a double play. Then Rogers shot in second place in an attempt to complete a triple play. However, the throw was irrelevant and entered left field, allowing the runner Garrett spikes to go to the third. Spikes then scored on wild ground to bring the score to 5-4.

At the bottom of the seventh, Cole tate sought to cushion an external decay before removing the bat. The baserunners hung up, one was taken out in a preview. Tate would be single to put runners in corners for Rogers. He smashed a two-run brace into the gap in left center field for a clearance.
