ATHENS —— The black team won the Fall World Series with a 6-5 victory Sunday at Foley Field.
The team fought for a 4-4 tie in six innings. In the seventh, both teams started their half of the heat with runners in the first and second. Freshman Dylan Taylor lined up a shot aimed at right field which was caught by the first baseman Chaney rogers. He stepped on the bag for a double play. Then Rogers shot in second place in an attempt to complete a triple play. However, the throw was irrelevant and entered left field, allowing the runner Garrett spikes to go to the third. Spikes then scored on wild ground to bring the score to 5-4.
At the bottom of the seventh, Cole tate sought to cushion an external decay before removing the bat. The baserunners hung up, one was taken out in a preview. Tate would be single to put runners in corners for Rogers. He smashed a two-run brace into the gap in left center field for a clearance.

* Junior Chaz Salter tied the score for the Red team with a three-run homerun in third. He tied the game at 4 in the 5e when he landed an RBI on a ground ball in the fifth.
*Cole tate broke a three-way game when he scored on a red team’s pitch error.
*Will pearson pitched 1.2 scoreless innings until allowing a run in the seventh when the runners were placed in the first and second to start the frame.
* Sophomore Collin caldwell pitched two scoreless innings with one strikeout until the black team rallied for the win in the seventh when the runners were placed in the first and second to start the inning.
*Diploma Chaney rogers provided a two-sleeve liner.
âI think we played a really good series, and it was top level,â said Georgia head baseball coach Ike Cousins. Scott stricklin. âI thought the two teams were hotly contested. It ended in an absence. Chaney rogers, a fifth year senior, doing it like that. I was really happy to see our kids compete like this. The teams were tied, and it was played on the last swing. “
Georgia will conclude the fall practices with a show against the University of Florida on Friday, Oct. 29 in Jacksonville. First pitch at 121 Financial Ballpark (home of the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, the Triple-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins) will be at 6.30 p.m.
