College football scores, schedule, games today: Nebraska vs. Northwestern kicks off Week 0 action

The 2022 college football season is finally here…sort of. With 22 of the 131 FBS teams in action, Week 0 brings several games that will give fans a taste of what to expect in the months to come. Although no AP Top 25 team will be on the field Saturday, there are a few compelling storylines that will be on the slate.

The biggest game of the day is a Big Ten clash between Nebraska and North West Ireland, with both teams looking to bounce back from lackluster campaigns in 2021. Florida State, Illinois, North Carolina and Vanderbilt will also be in action in the ranks of Power Five. Capping off the night was a unique non-conference showdown with Vanderbilt traveling to Hawaii in Rainbow Warriors coach Timmy Chang’s opener.

There are a handful of other games in between with CBS Sports Network showing live action from noon until after midnight. CBS Sports will be there every step of the way to keep you up to date with the latest scores, highlights and storylines throughout the day. All times Eastern
