Dr Zoe Williams and her partner Stuart brought their baby boy this morning for the first time on Monday’s show.
The doctor, 41, who announced she gave birth on Instagram last month, introduced her son, Lisbon Lion, to Holly Willoughby, Phillip Schofield and viewers at home and confirmed the sweet meaning of her name.
“So it’s Lisbon Lion, explains the name,” Phil said.
âThe first part is easy,â said Stuart, 40. âWe met in Lisbon about 20 months ago, so it was on the list of names from the start.
“And when he was born we just had to figure out if he could pull it off, that’s a pretty brave name, but he can watch it.”
Dr Zoe then said of his middle name: “Lion, we always associate our relationship with lions, mama lion, daddy lion, so we thought he was our little lion.”

While ITV’s resident doctor wanted to give birth in the water at home, things didn’t go as planned with Lisbon arriving 10 days before Zoe’s due date.
Unprepared, the couple revealed how Stuart was to pump their bath water into the pool, which they also filled with pots and pans and even greeted the little one before the sage arrived. wife.
Zoe said: âThe midwife wasn’t there, I mean we planned to have a midwife, we wanted to have one there but things moved so quickly.
âI gave birth at midnight, he was born just before 10:30 am and I think we all thought, including myself, you know, the first baby, it’s gonna take a long time.
âBut when things kinda really sped up, we reached out to the midwives, but they didn’t get there until 25 minutes later, meaning it was just us.

“Our doula was also present and reassured us, which was really crucial.”
âNo midwife so no pain relief, no gas and air, not even paracetamol,â added Stuart, impressed with his partner.
Explaining how she managed to stay calm, Zoe said she kept thinking to herself, “I know my body is going to give birth to this baby, I’m just a passenger, I’m just a observer.
“You just have to tolerate all the sensations, stay calm and relaxed and you will be fine.”
This morning continues on weekdays at 10am on ITV.
