The Hauser Boys won the Mid-Hoosier Conference All-Sports Award for the 2020-21 school year.
The Jets, who won a men’s cross country championship and shared the baseball title, accumulated 32.5 points. Southwestern (Shelby) edged men’s cross country and basketball champion South Decatur 27.5-26 for second place. Edinburgh finished fifth with 20 points.
The Hauser girls, who won the MHC titles in volleyball and softball, were third with 27.5 points, behind Waldron (35) and Southwestern (Shelby) (30). Edinburgh edged South Decatur 17-16.5 for sixth place.
McIntosh chosen for the North-South match
Columbus North senior Kyler McIntosh has been selected to compete in this year’s North-South Baseball All-Star Game.
McIntosh has been the Bull Dogs’ leading hitter and pitcher this season. He’s 8-1 with a 1.73 ERA and beats 0.400 with six doubles, five triples, three homers and 38 RBIs to lead North to a 27-4-1 record and Conference titles. Indiana and section.
He will lead the Bull Dogs in the Jasper Regional on Saturday.
Boys’ golf teams are sectional ready
All three Bartholomew County boys’ golf teams will play in the Greensburg section starting at 8:30 a.m. Friday at the Greensburg Country Club.
No.11 Columbus North will be the favorite. Columbus East and Hauser will look for the top three spots that would send them to the Providence Regional on June 10.
The other schools in the region will play on Monday. Brown County and Trinity Lutheran will be in the Bloomington North section at 8 a.m. at Cascades. Edinburgh will play in the Franklin section at 9 a.m. at The Legends, and Jennings County will be in the Madison section at 11 a.m. at Sunrise.
Hauser double duo for regional play
A pair of Hauser seniors are still alive in the state women’s individual tennis tournament. Emily Harker and Aunaka Wasil will play in the Bedford North Lawrence Regional on Saturday.
Harker and Wasil, who are 12-5 overall and 2-0 in the playoffs, will face Heritage Hills seniors Liz Mehling and Avery Neff (10-6, 1-0) at 10 a.m. The winner will meet a doubles team from Vincennes Rivet or New Albany in the regional final at 2 p.m.
The regional champion qualifies for the national finals from June 11 to 12.
Girls from the North organize a summer camp for young people
Columbus North Women’s Basketball will be holding their Summer Youth Camp Monday to June 10 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. for incoming grades 5 to 8 and 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. for incoming students from the second to fourth year.
The cost is $ 75 for grades 5-8 and $ 70 for grades 2-4. Campers will be instructed by North Brett White’s head coach and staff, as well as college and high school players.

Girls from the East organize a children’s basketball camp
Columbus East Girls Basketball is currently accepting registrations for its annual Kids’ Basketball Camp, which will be held from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, and June 10 and 11 for incoming students in grades six to eight.
The camp focuses on teaching the basics and providing the kids with exercises they can continue doing after camp to improve. The cost is $ 50 and all campers will receive a t-shirt. Additional prizes will be awarded to the daily contest winners and the camper of the week.
