Legislator Arunachal, siblings donate ancestral land in father’s name –

Bashar: Respect the commitment of their late father, local legislator Gokar Basar together with his siblings Gomar Basar, Gogam Basar, Goli Basar and Goto Basar recently donated their ancestral land in Gori-I village to the people of the hamlet free of charge and without any conditions.

The land donated to Gori-I village under Basar circle in Leparada district includes a settlement area (nearly 50% of the whole village), granaries and a playground.

Officials said the late K Migo Basar, who was renowned for his kindness and philanthropic activities, always maintained a cordial relationship and close association with the elders and residents of Gori-I village.

His relationship with the village people was so close that the villagers also treated him like their big brother. Therefore, maintaining the relationship, the five brothers donated the land they owned to the villagers, officials said.

The historic occasion was witnessed by Additional Deputy Commissioner of Basar, Gamjar Doke, MPAs Nyato Riba, Chogbi Riba, Paktum Lombi, Miken Bssar, retired civil servants Hengo Basar and Karyom Riram and other panchayat and public leaders from the region.

Residents of Gori-I village thanked MLA Basar and his brothers for their philanthropic vision.
