Men fall in Dallas at SCAC opening, 81-76, Wednesday


Irving, Texas- The Centennial Men’s Basketball team failed Wednesday night at their Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference at the University of Dallas Crusaders, 81-76, at the Maher Center.

The Gents (4-4, 0-1 SCAC) had won their opening conference game the past four seasons. Dallas improved to 3-5 and 1-0 in the SCAC game with the victory. Despite the loss, Centenary has an impressive 38-21 record in conference regular season games over the past four seasons.

Three men scored in double digits on Wednesday, led by 19 of senior F Jarrell Taylor (Leesville, Louisiana), while junior G Ralph Johnson (White Castle, Louisiana) scored 12 and senior G AJ Hall (Thibodaux, Louisiana). ) added 14 off the bench.
