Last week, all 30 Major League Baseball team owners voted unanimously to lock out players. As a result, the MLB offseason came to a halt. Teams are not allowed to sign free agents or trade union members during the work stoppage. (Minor leagues can still be traded.) So it might be some time before the fate of Carlos Correa, Freddie Freeman and the other top free agents remaining is revealed – not to mention players, like Matt Olson and Sonny. Gray, who could be traded ahead of spring training.
