CAMBRIDGE — A 46-year-old Albany man has been identified as the victim of Sunday night’s fatal shooting at the Cambridge Motel, Cambridge-Greenwich Police said.

Jeremy D. May was allegedly shot in the chest by Cambridge Central School caretaker Keith P. Libertucci, who has been charged with manslaughter, in the incident which happened around 10.05pm.

Libertucci is on administrative leave from the school, which is across from the motel on South Park Street.

Police have not disclosed the motive for the shooting.

A resident of the motel, who did not want to be identified, said he saw several men going to Libertucci’s room on Sunday evening. He said he then heard a loud boom and called the police.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Cambridge-Greenwich Police at 518-677-3044 or Greenwich State Police at 518-692-3001.
