Ryan Greenhagen named CoSIDA Academic All-American®

All-American® CoSIDA Academic Team 2020-21

Bronx, NY – Fordham University junior linebacker Ryan greenhagen has been named CoSIDA Academic All-American®, it was announced today. He was placed on the second team and is one of only two Patriot League student-athletes named to the CoSIDA Academic All-American® football team.

Greenhagen becomes the first Fordham student football athlete to win CoSIDA Academic All-American® honors since Dan Light and Brett Biestek in 2014.

This is the third major prize of the spring for Greenhagen, who was also named STATS FCS Sports All-American and the 2020-21 Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year.

• Recorded 22 total tackles, including eleven solo, despite a missed game
• Made 2.0 tackles for loss and 1.0 sack
• Also had a pass break
• Led the Patriot League in total tackles / game (11.0)
• Recorded a league-high 16 tackles in the Rams’ 40-8 win over Colgate
• Second among active FCS players with 1.37 tackles for loss per game in 26 career games
• 2019 First Team All-Patriot League
• A career 35.5 TFL, fifth best in school history
