SPOKANE, Washington – Public Schools in Spokane are preparing to name three new colleges currently under construction, but they need the public’s input to decide what to call them. With these schools under construction, many of the potential names have something to do with Spokane or the Pacific Northwest region.
It was reduced to three names of finalists for each school.
The first school is the northeast location located next to Gonzaga Prep:
- Beacon pins
- Denny yasuhara
- Frances scott
Next is the Northwest location which is across from Joe Albi Stadium:
- Breckenridge
- Pauline Flett
- Ruth bader ginsburg
Finally, the Southside location which will pass by the Mullan Road Elementary School:
- Carla Peperzak
- John oakley
- York
The school board will hold a public hearing at its meeting on Wednesday evening to gather comments on any potential names. They will then make the final name selection on May 26.
