Tucson is looking to earn three straight wins, complete a season sweep of its rival in the state and clinch a playoff berth against the Arizona Rattlers at the Footprint Center in Phoenix tomorrow.

The Sugar Skulls defeated the Rattlers for the first time in franchise history in their previous game on May 7 at Tucson Arena.

Tucson is coming off a 39-32 win over the Vegas Knight Hawks last Saturday night at Tucson Arena, in which it set a franchise record for most wins (7) in a season.

Tucson (7-5) currently sits in third place in the Western Conference, one position behind the perennial IFL powerhouse Rattlers (10-3), who sit in second place.

While the Tucson wide receiver Quinton Pedroza didn’t play the Rattlers at the Footprint Center, he heard about the vibe.

“I just heard it’s loud, but in football I played in tons of loud stadiums in college and stuff, so it’s not going to affect me,” he said. said last Saturday. “It’ll just be kind of connecting, listening, trusting my mindset and trusting that we practice and go out there and play hard like I always do.”

If you like watching high-profile crimes, get your popcorn ready. The Rattlers and Sugar Skulls rank in the top two in total runs scored, total touchdowns scored and points per game in the IFL heading into tomorrow’s rematch in Phoenix.

The Sugar Skulls (7-5) will face the Arizona Rattlers (10-3) tomorrow at the Footprint Center in Phoenix. Kick-off is at 6:05 p.m. You can watch the game live on the IFL YouTube channel.
