The Edmond de Rothschild Group appoints a new CEO


The Edmond de Rothschild group has appointed François Pauly as CEO, the Swiss firm announced.

Pauly was most recently a member of the board of directors of Edmond de Rothschild (Switzerland) and its Luxembourg subsidiary. The composition of the group’s executive committee remains unchanged.

He replaces Vincent Taupin, who has decided to retire. The firm said Pauly is a recognized financier with years of experience leading large private banking companies and will ensure the continuity of the group’s strategy, as he has been involved in all strategic decisions for the past five years. years.

During his career, Pauly held management positions within the Dexia banking group in Luxembourg, Italy and Monaco from 1987 to 2004.

He joined Banque Sal. Oppenheim jr. & Cie in Luxembourg in 2004 as CEO and became Managing Director of Sal. Oppenheim jr. & Cie. SCA, where he was appointed to the board of directors of the group’s subsidiaries in Switzerland, Austria and Germany.

In 2011, he joined Banque Internationale à Luxembourg (BIL) as CEO and then as Chairman of the Board of Directors until 2016.

Pauly’s appointment comes shortly after the group announced that former Amundi CEO Yves Perrier is joining the board as a director.
